Edge Crush Tester-Digital
An edge crush tester is an equipment which is structured for measuring the edge crush resistance of cardboard. This machine subjects the cardboard to a compressive force and asses the durability and strength of the cardboard.
There are two rigid plates in the edge crush tester which are used for applying pressure to the edges of corrugated cardboard. In this tester, pressure increased gradually and hence the maximum force of withstanding the sample is measured.
The edge crush test is very important for evaluating the performance of cardboard packaging. The test is significantly important because it determines the ability of the material inside cardboard to withstand pressure. It involves stacking, transportation or other forms of pressure.
After testing the cardboard with this machine, manufacturers and shippers get to know whether the content inside the cardboard is safe or not.
